The Sixth Working Conference of CCCC SFT Technical Joint Research Team Held in Zhuhai


       On November 09, 2018, the sixth working conference of CCCC SFT General Technical Research Team was held in the Zhuhai. Representatives from CCCC SFT General Technical Research Team, the Tianjin Research Institute for Water Transport Engineering, M.O.T, the Tunnel Engineering Consultants (TEC), the Delft University of Technology (Tu Delft), Dalian University of Technology, CCCC Highway Consultants Co., Ltd., CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., CCCC-FHDI Engineering Co., Ltd. attended the conference.
       At the conference, the participants made reports on the progress of the research topics, the issues to be coordinated, the next work plan, etc., and fully discussed and exchanged views on related issues such as the 3D overall physical model test of the behavioral mechanism of SFT structure. It was pointed out in the conference that the construction of the special test pool for SFT of the Tianjin Research Institute for Water Transport Engineering, M.O.T had been basically completed; therefore, it was necessary to perform commissioning and make preparations before the test to prepare conforming test conditions as soon as possible; in addition, the research team of each subject should closely focus on the working outline, which is the specific requirement of the staged achievements, to direct the follow-up research work, carry out dynamic assessment over the outline according to the actual research conditions, and improve the working outline if necessary.
       At the end of the conference, participants discussed and made arrangement for the SFT international conference, model manufacturing, installation, commissioning and digital-analog analysis for the 3D overall physical model test and other related work items.
